I used to love this place for their fried calamari, which they make St. Louis style (with fried banana peppers). I am not sure what changed, but today I ordered fried calamari and right away was surprised how small the box was when I came to pick it up. You can see the amount of food I got for $24 plus tax - 12 pieces of calamari and some banana peppers. Kinda looks like someone ate some of it before me. Beware on the size portion should you be interested in the same dish.

"Mario the bartender was exceptional-friendly, attentive, and skilled. He crafted delicious drinks, offered great recommendations, and made the whole experience memorable. Dinner with friends at DOUGH by Licastri in Silver Lake, Staten Island, highly touted for their pizza. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed. I ordered their version of a Sicilian sfincione, which is one of my top 3 pizzas to order. It’s a specialty pizza, not commonly found in most pizzerias. My friends ordered regular dinner food, however, which looked fantastic - so if I go back, that’s what I’ll do. It’s a fun lively atmosphere inside. The service was great.

We visited Dough by Licastri for an early afternoon lunch and had such a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly accommodating with our stroller, which was so thoughtful and appreciated. The service throughout our meal was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious, and the bread tasted unbelievably fresh some of the best we’ve had. Everything we ordered was flavorful and clearly made with care. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making for a really enjoyable lunch outing. One of the best surprises was finding out that dogs are allowed in the outdoor area, which means our entire family, including our pup, can enjoy a visit together next time! Overall, it was a great experience from start to finish, and we will definitely be back.

Good Italian food is hard to find. I can finally hang up my Carmines cleats and take my business to Dough on Staten Island. Everything was delicious from appetizer to Entree. The star of the show was the chicken parm with a side of spicy vodka rigatoni. The waitress Njcole was super friendly and advising on navigating the extensive menu options. The portions were plentiful. I have lunch for tomorrow and I need a nap now.
